Wedding Flowers by salt & petals
Planning flowers for your wedding should feel exciting — not confusing.
At salt & petals, we grow seasonal blooms on our family flower farm in southern Alentejo, and offer straightforward options for couples and wedding professionals who want locally grown flowers with real character.

What We Grow
We cultivate a diverse range of high quality seasonal flowers — including varieties such as Dahlias, Zinnias, Sunflowers, Cosmos and more. Because our flowers are field-grown and seasonal, availability changes over the year. Our wedding flowers are at their best when they are in natural bloom (May–October, roughly, depending on weather and season).

How We Can Supply Flowers
We offer a few flexible ways for you to use our flowers for your wedding:
DIY Buckets
Large buckets of freshly cut flowers and foliage for you, your florist or your wedding party to arrange yourselves. A popular choice for couples who want creative control or a budget-friendly option.
Prepared Bouquets & Floral Elements
We can provide bridal bouquets, buttonholes, simple arranged posies or table flowers — ideal if you want timeless, seasonal blooms without doing all the arranging yourself.
Flowers for Florists & Planners
If you’re a wedding planner or florist, you’re welcome to source buckets or stems directly from the farm as part of your workflow. Many planners find this helpful for seasonal designs and local styling.

Ordering & Logistics
Ordering:
Please get in touch with your event date, estimated flower budget, colour palette or general style, and any specific uses (DIY buckets vs bouquets). We’ll confirm what will be in season for your date and provide an estimate.
Collection & Delivery:
Flowers are typically harvested the day before your event for maximum freshness. Collection from the farm is included; delivery can be arranged locally by prior agreement.
Seasonal Availability:
Because salt & petals works exclusively with what is naturally in season, exact flower varieties fluctuate depending on weather and the time of year. We design with what is blooming at the time of your event to best honour your chosen color palette.

Why Choose Locally Grown Flowers
Sourcing flowers grown close to your venue means:
- Freshness and High Quality — stems cut at peak and delivered shortly before your event.
- Seasonality — natural bloom cycles result in flowers that are vibrant and unique.
- Lower impact — reduced transport and less environmental footprint compared with imported flowers.
